*** VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Victim Resources Support ***

 La Plata County Sheriff’s Office (LPCSO) is currently accepting Volunteer Applications for persons wishing to be a part of the Victim Resources Team.
  As part of this significant effort, VOLUNTEERS provide immediate support, resources and information to families of people who have recently
experienced the death of a family member.  Some of these experiences may be traumatic depending upon the cause.

Key characteristics for a Volunteer Position with Victim Resources include ability to:

 ·  Provide support and “psychological first aid” (not counseling)

·     Listen carefully and follow protocol

·     Mobilize at various times of day, depending upon the time of death.
